WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is designed for 3D artists, studio technicians, directors, producers, designers, and audiovisual professionals who want to dive into the professional use of Unreal Engine 5 as a tool for virtual production.

Throughout the sessions, you’ll learn to create environments, configure lighting, materials, cameras, and animations within Unreal, and prepare everything for on-set use, final rendering, or real-time previsualization. No prior UE experience is required, though basic knowledge of 3D and audiovisual techniques is recommended.

• What virtual production is and how it’s used in film, advertising, and events.
• Navigating Unreal Engine 5’s interface.
• Real-time rendering and unwrap best practices.

• Importing from DCCs and managing static/skeletal meshes.
• Using Mixamo, sublevels, and native modeling tools.

• PBR material principles.
• Shader Editor and creating instanced materials.
• Using our custom plugin for materials.

• Types of lights and realistic scene setups.
• Physical intensities, shadows, and key adjustments.

• Comparing Lumen, Ray Tracing, and Baked Lighting.
• Lightmaps, density, mobility, and optimization.

• Using the Landscape module and building large terrains.
Layered materials, foliage, scatter, and environmental detail.

• Physical cameras, tech parameters, and virtual lenses.
• Sequencer, Movie Render Queue, and post-production passes.

• Basic events and visual logic.
• Level Blueprints: basic interactivity.

•Variables, BP Classes, and prepping for live directing
• Custom plugins for faster setup and studio workflow.

•Integrating live footage and CGI in real-time.
• Shot setup: background, foreground, mattes, and media plates.
• Optimized shaders for PreViz.

2. Ability to import, build, light, animate, and render scenes.

3. Readiness for LED volume, green screen, or previsualization shoots.
