Capturing
Plaza del Conde de Miranda

WHERE TRADITION BECOMES A TESTING GROUND
Plaza del Conde de Miranda, in the heart of Madrid, served as the real-world location we scanned and transformed into a digital environment using high-precision photogrammetry techniques. This historic space is now a living tool— designed both for audiovisual training and for technical experimentation in virtual production.

Thanks to our collaboration with CIFP José Luis Garci, this environment has been made available to their film students and teachers as part of their training in the virtual production studio they’ve established. For us, it also became a valuable test lab to explore workflows, tracking, and real-time production solutions.

FROM SCAN TO SCENE
We carried out a full scan of the plaza using photogrammetry, processing and optimizing both geometry and textures to ensure smooth performance in real-time production environments. The set was prepared for use with tools like Aximmetry and Infinity Set (Brainstorm), including real-time integrated lighting and camera controls making it a versatile and educational resource for both students and technicians.

A SHARED PROJECT, A COMMON VISION
This collaboration with Garci Professional Training Centre reinforces our commitment to knowledge transfer and the connection between industry and education. With their equipment—LED screen, green screen, studio cameras, and tracking systems—this space not only enhances learning but also allows us to test and refine our own technical solutions in a realistic, professional setting.
