La Cantina
del Cine

A PODCAST WITH MORE FANDOM THAN BUDGET (BUT THAT’S NOT A PROBLEM)
La Cantina del Cine isn’t your average podcast. It’s an endless post-meal chat among friends talking about movies like no one’s listening. But this time, they wanted something else: a visual space matching their universe of references without ever leaving the studio.

The idea: set their special episode inside an imperial freighter straight out of Star Wars. The mission: turn a physical set into a galactic visual experience. The solution? Virtual production. No need to leave Earth.

FROM TREMENDO STUDIO… TO HYPERSPACE
For this collaboration with TresiMedia Comunicación, we developed a fully custom virtual environment in Unreal Engine, designed to seamlessly integrate with the physical set at Tremendo Studio.

The scene featured moving elements, real-time camera sync, and live animations to create a space that felt alive, immersive, and proudly geeky. All of it—no external chroma key, no heavy post-production, and without sacrificing the cinematic look that defines the show.

OUR JOB WAS TO BUILD THE SHIP FROM THE INSIDE
At Acid Drops, we handled the full design and development of the digital environment, recreating the interior of an imperial freighter inspired by the Star Wars universe—optimized for virtual production on a green screen.

interactive lighting, ambient animations, and dynamic camera transitions We added interactive lighting, ambient animations, and dynamic camera transitions to bring the background to life during the episode shoot. A blend of design, narrative, and a full on tribute to cinema.
